Our Services
Supporting patients, whānau and carers through life’s most challenging journeys, while helping people live as well as possible, for as long as possible.
Specialist Palliative Nursing Care
Our specialist palliative care nurses provide expert support for people living with a life-limiting illness.
We work alongside hospital specialists, GPs, aged residential care facilities, allied health professionals and community nursing services to ensure care is coordinated, responsive and centred around the needs of each patient and their whānau.
Social Work and Practical Support
Serious illness affects far more than physical health. Our social support services help patients and whānau navigate the practical, emotional, financial and social challenges that can arise.
Support may include accessing funding and community resources, advocacy, practical problem-solving, family meetings and connecting people with the right services at the right time.
Counselling And Emotional Support
A life-limiting illness affects the whole family. Our counselling services provide a safe and supportive space for patients, carers, family members and those who are bereaved.
Support may include coping with a diagnosis, managing anxiety and uncertainty, relationship and family support, grief and loss counselling, and bereavement support following a death.
End-of-Life Planning
Planning ahead can bring peace of mind and help ensure your wishes are understood and respected.
We can support Advance Care Planning, Enduring Powers of Attorney discussions, end-of-life planning conversations, funeral planning considerations, family and whānau discussions, and access to our End-of-Life Planning Checklist.
Transport Support
Getting to appointments, programmes or support services can sometimes be challenging.
Where available, our volunteer transport service can help patients access hospice programmes, appointments and community activities.
Companion Volunteers
Our Companion Volunteer Programme offers friendship, connection and practical support.
Volunteers may visit patients at home, provide companionship and conversation, support social connection, give carers an opportunity to take a break, and help reduce feelings of isolation.
Complementary Therapies
We recognise that wellbeing extends beyond medical care.
Complementary therapies may include massage therapy, relaxation support, comfort-focused therapies and wellbeing activities. These services are designed to enhance comfort, reduce stress and improve quality of life.
Living Well Programmes & Groups
Explore groups and programmes that support connection, creativity, cultural care, emotional wellbeing and living as well as possible through serious illness, caring and bereavement.
Bereavement Support
