There Is A Place For You At Franklin Hospice

Our volunteers bring a wide range of ages, backgrounds, skills and life experience. Some work directly alongside patients and whānau, while others help through transport, retail, events, administration, gardening and community activities.

You do not need to arrive as an expert. We provide guidance, training and ongoing support so you can feel confident and valued in your role.

Patient And Whānau Support

Offer companionship, conversation and practical support to patients and the people closest to them.

Transport Support

Help patients attend appointments, programmes and other hospice-related activities.

Hospice Shop

Support customers, sort donated goods, organise displays and help raise funds through our retail shop.

Events And Fundraising

Help with community events, fundraising activities, Garden Ramble and special hospice campaigns.

Gardening And Practical Help

Share practical skills by helping with gardens, maintenance, upcycling projects or other hands-on tasks.
